Summerwater is a six-part British drama set in a remote loch-side holiday cabin park in Scotland, where a group of families gather hoping for a peaceful escape. Instead, a relentless day of rain traps everyone indoors, and the quiet setting becomes a pressure cooker. As the hours pass, the show weaves in and out of each cabin, revealing the private tensions, secrets, and emotional histories its characters brought with them. Small moments—misunderstandings, frustrations, old wounds—gradually build toward a devastating climax that forces every character to face the truths they’ve been avoiding.
The series balances atmospheric tension with intimate character work, using the stark, rainy landscape almost as another character. It’s moody, slow-burn, and heavy with a sense of things unspoken but always building.
