Set over the holiday season in Scotland, the film follows Declan, whose life takes a rough turn when his girlfriend breaks up with him on the way to Christmas dinner. Trying to keep the breakup under wraps, Declan instead finds himself stranded on New Year’s Day when his car breaks down at which point his sister Rachel arrives. What starts as a sibling-assist quickly becomes more complicated as both of them are hiding secrets.
As Rachel’s curiosity grows and Declan’s issues heighten, the pair are forced into a roadside reckoning where buried feelings, hidden truths and dysfunctional dynamics converge.
