Vigil – Season 3
The third season of the acclaimed BBC thriller Vigil follows DCI Amy Silva and DI Kirsten Longacre as they investigate a mysterious death at a remote Arctic research station in Svalbard.
The series expands the visual scope of the franchise, combining location photography across Scotland with extensive VFX to create the remote Arctic environments and establish the scale and isolation of the story. Digital environment work, set extensions, atmospheric effects and compositing are used throughout to enhance the harsh landscapes and seamlessly integrate the production’s locations and visual effects.
As the investigation develops into a wider geopolitical conspiracy involving military operations and international interests, the VFX helps create an expansive and cinematic world against the backdrop of the Arctic.
I contributed to the VFX production throughout the series and was credited as VFX Supervisor for Episode 6.
